Sophomores reigns for this time

A winning cheers and shouts of sophomores crowd the whole school as the judge announces their victory against the other year levels.
Seniors got shocked of their defeat from the sophomores. For this time, the sophomores emerged as the champion in cheerdance competition in many years trying to get the crown as the champions. Mrs. Emily Baranggot, as their coach astounded in the results and happy while saying in the microphone “repeat performance second year, bawi-on jud ni inyong pagkadaug,” “Wala jud ni’y pabor-pabor kay wala jud ko kaila sa mga judges….hahahaha,” she said jokingly. But the seniors on the other hand, are not happy about the results. They stepped in the stage after the announcement of winners to rise their complaint about the results. The judges explained calmly and confidently to the complainants about the results and also the guidelines for them to understand. The seniors wanted to see the scores but the judges refused and they said the scores are confidential. Even though the seniors complained, they have nothing to do with it because it was clearly stated in the guidelines that the judges decisions was final.

A Critique

After the announcement of winners on the disputed crown as the champion of cheerdance this year, I heard from one of these judges about his own critique on the performance on each year level. He said that for him the real cheerdance was performed by the seniors which he considers his own bet to win. Juniors performance was a semi-chherdance while the sophomores and freshmen’s performance was a dance interpretation only also known as the dance palabas not a cheerdance. He also added that he can identify the dance strokes if it is a cheerdance or not. Although his own critique about the year levels performance cannot affect the decisions of the other judges because majority or 3 other judges have the same bet to win which is the sophomores.
Here are the winners of the cheerdance competition.

CHAMPION - SOPHOMORES (2nd year) – Mrs. Emily Baranggot as their trainor
1st RUNNER UP - JUNIORS (3rd year) - Mr. Jori Manas as their trainor
